My name is Gilly Fontaine-Grist. I have been enjoying drawing and painting for many years: like many others I am influenced by what I see and feel in relation to the space I live in be it the grey cobbles and curbs of the East Lancashire terraces (amongst which I brought up my two children) or the contrasting waterfalls, woods and hills not far away.
More recently, the breathtaking beauty of the Isle of Arran, where I have been living for the past year, is inspiring new ideas.
Having recently done some small paintings on tiles for the Arran Animal Rescue Sanctuary, l have had some of the images reproduced on limited edition mugs, bags and cards, which will be available alongside the canvas landscapes.
Prints of the framed landscapes can be ordered: anyone interested in my artwork is welcome to order a print (available on most pieces) or buy the originals.
Although my ‘studio’ (my space for the event)is the dining room of The Lochranza Country Inn, I am happy to also meet people at my home after the event to hand over paintings.
Purchases on the day will be cash only, however, I can be contacted for prints at any time during or after the exhibition, whereupon bank transfers will be accepted.
