Greetings cards and Limited Edition prints in watercolour and pencil, primarily of botanical and architectural scenes from both on and off the island.
Nicholas trained as a building surveyor constructing plans for extensions which gave him a grounding in detailed drawing.
It was only when he retired that he went back to painting and started to specialise in botanical art taking part in exhibitions with The Society of Botanical Artists in London. Later he took a diploma course in the subject with the SBA.
His style is not so much as to re-create realism but rather an interpretation of reality, stressing detail and lines found both in plants and buildings.
Nicholas considers himself to fall a long way short of being a professional and prefers raising money for charity.
He prints some of his pictures using a system known as Giclée printing and has a number of these for sale along with greetings cards.
