Thank you to everyone who visited or participated our 10th Anniversary Open Studio Weekend in Arran this summer and who helped make the event such a great success!

Another Arran Open Studios weekend concludes.
Thank you to all the artists for taking part and to the advertisers for your support. Most of all thank you to all the studio visitors who make it all worthwhile.
The committee will take a brief break but work is already beginning for next year, in particular our planned exhibition at the Maritime Museum in Irvine.

Our final day of Arran Open Studios 26.
Make the most of it by visiting studios in different parts of the island. We tend to have clusters of studios near and in the main villages but a trip north to Lochranza and Pirnmill, over to Machrie or south to Kildonan and Kilmory , or across the String road to Shiskine provides the opportunity for seeing parts of Arran which are more remote.

Some new pieces i have been working on lately , all made with oak and ready for indoor or outdoor use , really pleased with these , the angel wing is carved on both sides .

VENUES 37 and 38 have a slight change for Friday. Still in the Ormidale Pavilion but for Friday only Iris, Nikki and Karen will be using the rooms to the left along the corridor from entering the building.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be in the main meeting room of the pavilion as advertised.
STUDIOS IN BRODICK
With one day until our event begins

Venue number 33 Sannox Christian Centre.
Heading north from Machrie you’ll come to the wee village of Pirnmill . Pebbled beaches and peaceful views of Kintyre.
2 Studios there but both at the same location @gobhlach_art by the side of the pretty Goblach burn.
Then head up to Lochranza with its historic 16th C castle . After visiting the studios there, visit the Lochranza distillery and sample the whisky or have a drink or lunch in the Lochranza (community run )hotel.

STUDIOS IN SHISKINE AND MACHRIE
Shiskine and Machrie are on the west side of the island. Stunning views over the sea, you can even see Northern Ireland ‘on a clear day’. A walk around Drumadoon point is a must , a visit to Machrie standing stones and the journey north from Blackwaterfoot takes you along beautiful coastline where you can spot seals , cormorants, and shags.
