Ed ‘s work consists of large scale watercolour paintings indirectly responding to ideas around geology, archaeology, land and sea. His paintings develop themes in the relationship between people and place.

Gobhlach Art Studio- Rob Stevens- Studio Number 38
Rob creates mixed media drawing and sculpture, specialising in ceramic sculpture. He is inspired by the form, patterns and forces that shape the natural world.

Also in Machrie and a stones throw from Arranach barrel furniture is Andy Lease, joiner, who makes handcrafted hardwood furniture mainly inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Each unique piece is designed to combine strength with individual style. Commissions undertaken.

Assja creates Jewellery in mostly recycled copper and silver often including found or recycled objects and sea glass, inspired by nature and history. She will also exhibit mixed media paintings, sketches and drawings.

John creates furniture and accessories made exclusively from Lochranza distillery barrels. Chairs, tables, drinks cabinets, benches, stools, clocks, trivets, and more. Furniture restoration and repair. Reupholstery of small to medium pieces.

Nick creates life-sized bird mobiles created from re-used materials painted in acrylics. He will also have Linoprints of island views and wildlife. Originals, prints and cards.

My name is Suzi Kennett-Brown and I’m sharing the space with Nicky Brown ( arran_honestybox ) in her lovely studio called The Piggery. Being on Arran has set me free to enjoy working on my own pieces. Using water based materials – watercolour, acrylic and water based oils.
Ours is an exhibition showing watercolour and mixed media by Suzi with demonstrations of different techniques. Home produce available all originating from the farm by Nicky. Our inspiration arising from Arran life.
